Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government continues to pay attention to educators. This time, through the Education and Culture Office (Disdikbud), it has increased the incentives for Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers. Data from 2020 showed that 2.326 PAUD teachers received incentives of IDR 500 thousand per month per person. This year, the incentive was increased by IDR 100 thousand so that they will receive IDR 600 thousand per month per person.
This was conveyed by the Head of the Malang City Education and Culture Office, Suwarjana, SE., MM on Tuesday (16/03/2021). According to him, this is one of the manifestations and commitments of the Malang City Government in an effort to improve the welfare of educators and specifically the concern of the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji.
Suwarjana added that the source of the budget for this program was allocated from the 2021 APBD and its implementation was gradual. "Next year, it is possible that this incentive will increase. We don't know how much the increase will be, what is certain is that the Mayor said it will continue to be increased", he added.
Furthermore, Suwarjana said, this program is very good and must be done considering the role of educators in the most basic level must be maximized again. "So in this case their performance and struggle must be appreciated, so that there is balance," he said.
For this year, the Education and Culture Office is still re-registering how many PAUD teachers will receive the incentive increase. "By strengthening the character of the nation's generation at the foundation level, a future generation will be born with character and high competitiveness and in accordance with shared expectations," concluded Suwarjana.
