He has been making vintage radios as a hobby since four years ago and has repeatedly dismantled and reassembled old radios. Starting from that hobby, he had a lot of difficulty repairing the radio because many of the radio parts were damaged.

"Learning from the difficulties, the idea finally came to mind why not make a new radio in a vintage style model. So that it gives an old impression," Cone explained.

In order to compete and be popular in the market, Cone deliberately equipped his radio to be vintage but contemporary. The radio is also equipped with a sound system that can be used for karaoke, regular, stereo, digital USB, SD card, and Mp3. "After I made several vintage radios, many were interested in buying. Finally, about two years ago we started producing," said Cone.

Initially, they used a lot of used wood, but Cone said that now they use quality wood.
It turns out that more and more people are interested in buying vintage radios made in Sukun Pondok Indah Housing. "There are already around a hundred radio products that we have made and have been purchased. The average buyer of our radios is the middle to upper class," said Cone.

Cone added that currently the price of the wooden radio he made is priced at IDR 2,5 million per unit. Although the price is quite expensive, orders for vintage radios are still coming in. "There are still people ordering radios from us. Even though we haven't done any promotion so far. People usually know our products from word of mouth," Cone explained. (cah/ram)
