Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The 2021 Malang City Public Service Innovation Competition (KIPP) is currently entering the presentation and interview stage. This event was held for two days, namely March 16-17, 2021 and was attended by 46 teams from regional apparatuses, regional apparatus work units and regional companies within the Malang City Government.
After going through the presentation and interview stages, the participants will be determined into the best six and the best three. "We hold this Public Service Innovation Competition every year and later we will get the top 3 and top 6 who we will propose for competitions at the provincial and national levels," said Head of the Organization Section of the Malang City Secretariat, Boedi Utomo, SE., M.Si at the Gajahmada Hotel, Tuesday (16/03/2021).
The main objective of this KIPP held by the Organization Section of the Regional Secretariat of Malang City is to encourage the acceleration of improving the quality of public services. The innovations presented must of course have values that meet several criteria. First, having novelty where the idea is unique, having a new approach in solving problems, unique policies and implementation designs, or modifications of existing public service innovations for the implementation of public services.
Second, effective in showing real achievements and providing solutions in solving problems. Third, useful in solving problems that are of public interest and concern. Fourth, can be transferred or replicated as an example, reference or can be applied by other public service units. Fifth, sustainable.
According to Boedi, the 2021 Malang City Public Service Innovation Competition held amidst the Covid-19 pandemic did not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants in participating. Instead, it encouraged the birth of various interesting innovations to facilitate and support community activities during the pandemic.
"This year, what is interesting is that there are many schools that usually have very little and very limited innovation. However, this year, there are many schools that are starting to have innovation," said one of the jury team, Ir. Dina Limanto when met after assessing the presentations and interviews of the participants' innovation exposure on the first day.
Several regional apparatuses and regional apparatus work units that participated in KIPP 2021 did present various interesting innovations in accordance with their duties and functions, such as learning methods and applications during the pandemic, drive-thru-based administrative services, water resource conservation and others.
"I think this activity is very good to motivate and encourage regional apparatus to innovate. The name is innovation, if possible, do not stop, because maybe the innovation of the past next year will not be innovative anymore," added Dina Limanto. (eka/ram)
