The statement was conveyed by the bespectacled man on Friday (19/03/2021) to the media crew when met at Malang City Hall. Dr. Husnul explained that there was indeed a Sinovac vaccine that would expire on March 20 and March 31. However, until now, the vaccine that expired on March 23 has been injected to all those who are entitled to receive it.

Not only from the ranks of the Malang City Health Service, he explained, the Ministry of Health also went to the field to ensure that the vaccine was according to its intended use, injected according to schedule and no expired vaccines were injected. So that in terms of safety and accuracy of vaccine stock, it has been carried out optimally.

"After March 20, the vaccines that will be injected are vaccines that have an expiration date of March 31 or even April," explained Husnul.

For residents or recipients of the second stage of vaccination who have not received the injection, they will follow the third stage of vaccination, so residents do not need to worry. The Health Service has also submitted additional vaccines for groups that have not been met, such as traders, the elderly and public services.

"They will receive the vaccine in the third phase," he added.

When asked about the Astrazeneca vaccine, Dr. Husnul admitted that he had not received further information, such as how much he would receive or submit. The health service is currently still focused on completing the Sinovac vaccination so that all are distributed 100 percent.

"There are currently no vaccines that expire in April in the health department's storage area because they have all been distributed to designated health facilities," he concluded. (say/ram)
