Before receiving the vaccine, the Mayor of Malang and his wife had undergone a series of examinations at the observation table, just like other members of the public. If they are declared to meet the criteria as Covid-19 survivors, they can be given the vaccine.

When met after being vaccinated, Sutiaji honestly revealed that at first he felt nervous because it was human nature to face a situation for the first time, so when his blood pressure was measured it was recorded as slightly higher than normal blood pressure. However, the nervous feeling disappeared after receiving the vaccine from the vaccinator prepared by the Malang City Health Office.
