Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor, Drs. H. Sutiaji virtually launched the Gowes Wisata (Gowesata) from the Salimar Hotel, Malang City, Thursday (25/03/2021). This Gowesata will pass through 17 cities to promote and revive tourism due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mayor Sutiaji strongly supports efforts to revive tourism amidst the current Covid-19 pandemic. Gowesata is a pentahelix effort to jointly restore tourism in Indonesia. "We hope that with Gowesata, it can attract people to explore the richness of tourism in Indonesia," explained Sutiaji.
Sutiaji added that Indonesia not only has extraordinary natural wealth, but also unmatched natural beauty. Indonesia also has a very diverse culture that will never run out as a mainstay of tourism. "Indonesia's cultural excellence is not possessed by other countries. This is what must continue to be developed," said Sutiaji.
Gowesata Project Director, Hendri Wijaya said Gowesata starts from March 25 to 28, 2021 starting from Malang City and finishing in Denpasar, Bali. "We hope that this event can increase the enthusiasm of tourism industry players to be creative," explained Hendri.
Hendri said that the Gowesata activity from Malang City will cover 17 cities in Indonesia. Starting from Malang City, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Solo, Semarang, Bandung, Jakarta, Palembang, Padang, Medan, Makassar, Banyuwangi, Ponorogo, Madiun, Banyuwangi, Lombok, and Denpasar. (cah/ram)
