Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – In the era of information technology advancement, public servants, including State Civil Apparatus (ASN) are required to be able to utilize sophisticated technology, especially in providing services to the community. Thus, the people will feel served and as a form of government present in the midst of society to meet their various needs.

If citizens are well served, it will also support the government's success in realizing its development programs. As if there is a work program that is not quite right, citizens can convey their aspirations, suggestions and criticisms to the government or policy makers.
These are some of the things conveyed by the Head of the Malang City Communication and Informatics Service (Diskominfo), Muhammad Nur Widianto at the socialization event for the 2021 Public Complaints Appreciation (APIK) Award at the Ngalam Command Center (NCC) Malang City Hall, Friday (09/04/2021).

He added that in each regional apparatus in the Malang City Government, officers have been appointed specifically to handle various public complaints. Therefore, added the bespectacled man, with this event, the abilities of the appointed officers will increase, when there are complaints from the public regarding services or work programs.
"Currently, technology is extraordinary and almost all services refer to online, and in this case, the Malang City Communication and Information Service will continue to provide assistance," he added.
Our society, he said, is already tech-savvy and critical, so that if there is something that is not quite right, it can be conveyed or delivered immediately. Especially with the increasing number of social media, and is one of the effective media to respond or simply want the public to know what is happening.
"Therefore, ASN as one of the public officials is required to be wiser and more prudent and master the advancement of information technology," he explained. "To advance regional apparatuses, we also give appreciation, such as by holding competitions in website management, especially those related to work programs and handling complaints from the public. Several facilities have been facilitated through certain channels, in addition to the websites of each regional apparatus. For example, with the presence of Sambat Online," explained Widianto.
When asked about complaints in Malang City dominated by what sector, he said, it is still in the realm of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Agency (DPUPRPKP), such as the occurrence of water puddles when rain falls with high intensity.
