Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko shared entrepreneurial knowledge at Widya Karya Catholic University, Saturday (10/4/2021). This is to build a superior generation with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Bung Edi, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko's nickname, said that in this era of the industrial revolution 4.0, everyone is required to be creative. Students as the next generation of the nation must be able to reap the benefits of the demographic bonus. "We must be able to take advantage of the current conditions, creatively take advantage of existing opportunities to be successful in entrepreneurship," said Bung Edi, who is also a property and coffee entrepreneur.
With the current conditions, it must be faced with various new things that can enter the market. The goal is to create a strong market effect. In that way, it will be able to create a new market that can change the market structure that has been there.
"In this current pandemic, everything is going digital. Both young and old are required to be able to adapt. If you don't want to be left behind," he continued.
He invited everyone to always learn to find solutions to various existing problems. Do not give up because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but instead become an opportunity to innovate and develop yourself.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Widya Karya Catholic University, Frater. Dr. Klemens Mere, BHK, SE., M.Pd., MM., MH, M.AP. revealed that this guest lecture event was to provide knowledge related to the importance of building an entrepreneurial spirit. "Not only sharing knowledge on building an entrepreneurial spirit. But the Deputy Mayor of Malang also shared the activity of planting pule trees which is a noble invitation and loving the environment," explained Klemens.
The concept of the Deputy Mayor of Malang in building an entrepreneurial spirit, he said, is very much in line with the vision developed by Widya Karya Catholic University. Where currently young people are needed who want to jump in by developing themselves into entrepreneurs.
