Malang City Government Receives Hazmat Suit Assistance from Ace Hardware

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Supporting the prevention of the spread of Covid-19 which is currently still being actively carried out, the Malang City Government has again received assistance in the form of personal protective equipment (PPE) as a form of corporate social responsibility (CSR) from Ace Hardware which is part of the Kawan Lama Foundation.

The assistance was in the form of 320 hazardous material suits or known as hazmat suits. The assistance was received by the Acting Regional Secretary of Malang City, Ir. Hadi Santoso at Malang City Hall, Tuesday (13/04/2021). He expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Malang City Government for all forms of concern, support and encouragement to the Malang City Government in the form of PPE assistance.

"This certainly helps us a lot in our efforts to handle the Covid-19 pandemic, which we still don't know when it will end," he explained.

According to Hadi, this kind of concern is a trigger for the city government to work harder in preventing and handling Covid-19. In addition, PPE is indeed one of the needs that is very much needed by medical personnel.

"We hope that Ace Hardware itself will also continue to implement health protocols. Because as much as we can prepare equipment, all efforts but if we ourselves do not make the same efforts, of course this Covid-19 response cannot be done," he concluded.

Hazmat suit assistance from Ace Hardware Store Manager

On that occasion, Hadi Santoso reminded the public and retail stores to continue to be disciplined in implementing health protocols. "We are sure that the public is able to implement health protocols. Now it is how to make these visitors and buyers more obedient to the health protocols that have been implemented," he explained.

This assistance will be distributed immediately to medical personnel so that they can work more comfortably and safely because there are means that can protect. "Let's pray together that this pandemic will end soon, so that our lives and lives can go back to how they used to be," he continued.

Meanwhile, Store Manager of Ace Hardware Malang City, Deni Cahyono hopes that the hazmat suit assistance can be distributed to areas in need including hospitals, health centers and medical teams who have not yet finished their task of breaking the chain of Covid-19 transmission. "Hopefully with this hazmat suit, it can ease the medical team in carrying out activities," he explained. (eka/ram)
