Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – At the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan 1442 Hijriah, Pertamina Marketing Region Jatimbalinus welcomed the start by ensuring a safe energy supply to meet the needs of the people in East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

In the first quarter of 2021, Pertamina recorded the distribution of Premium, Pertalite, Pertamax, and Pertamax Turbo (Gasoline) fuel oil (BBM) of 1.390.180 Kilo Liters (KL), Solar, Biosolar, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex (Gasoil) fuel oil of 596.380 KL, and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) of 413.760 Metric Tons (MT).
In Gasoline type fuel, Pertamina recorded the highest consumption of Pertalite products with total consumption in Jatimbalinus in the first quarter of 2021 of 1.004.035 KL, followed by Pertamax products with total consumption in the same period of 217.755 KL.
"This also indicates that people are starting to have an understanding and awareness of the choice of using better quality fuels for both vehicles and the surrounding environment," said Deden Mochamad Idhani, Unit Manager Communication & CSR Pertamina Marketing Region Jatimbalinus on Wednesday (14/04/2021).
In Gasoil type fuel, Pertamina recorded Dexlite product with total consumption in Jatimbalinus in the first quarter of 2021 of 12.465 KL, while for Pertamina Dex product, total consumption in the same period was recorded at 8.890 KL. "The average daily consumption for Dexlite was recorded at 138 KL per day, while Pertamina Dex was 98 KL per day," said Deden.
Meanwhile, for LPG, Pertamina recorded LPG consumption in the first quarter of 2021 at 413.760 MT. This consumption includes PSO LPG (3 kg LPG) and NPSO LPG (Bright Gas 5.5 Kg, Bright Gas and 12 kg LPG, 50 kg LPG, and Bulk LPG). The highest consumption was in March 2021 with a total LPG consumption of 145.615 MT.
"General LPG consumption in March was recorded to have increased by 9 percent compared to the average of January and February 2021 which was recorded at 134.070 MT," added Deden.
He further added, considering the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in several areas of Jatimbalinus, as well as the government's appeal not to go home, this could cause the need for BBM products to tend to decrease compared to before.
"For daily consumption of Gasoline products, it is estimated to increase by 8,1 percent to 16.700 KL during the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, and for Gasoil products we estimate it will decrease by 0,9 percent to 6.560 KL of consumption per day," continued Deden.

While LPG consumption is predicted to increase considering activities at home and the momentum of the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2021 which will increase cooking activities in households, Pertamina anticipates an estimated increase in daily LPG consumption of 7 percent or to 5.740 MT in the Jatimbalinus area.
To get the price according to the HET for 3 kg LPG, people can buy LPG at official bases that can be recognized by the public from the nameplate or banner installed in the base area. In addition, people can also buy at gas stations and modern outlets that provide LPG products.
Deden emphasized that the public need not worry, because BBM and LPG are available to meet the needs of the community in the Jatimbalinus area during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2021. The public can also actively participate in efforts to improve Pertamina's services and report any obstacles and constraints in the distribution of Pertamina products through the Pertamina Call Center at 135.
Pertamina also appealed to consumers to get used to cashless transactions by using the MyPertamina application, to reduce the potential for the spread of the virus through cash. "Right now, Pertamina has a savings promo of IDR 300/liter without a maximum limit for the purchase of Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex fuel products using the MyPertamina application which runs from April 1-30, 2021," concluded Deden.
