Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – After successfully holding the Ruwat Nagari event, the Malang City Government is ready to work on a documentary film which is planned to be launched on May 2, 2021. This was conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji at the 'Office Audience with the Implementing Committee of the 2021 Malang City Ruwat Nagari Activity and the Documentary Film Team for the 107th Anniversary of Malang City' in the Malang Mayor's Meeting Room, Wednesday (14/4/2021).
Malang Mayor Sutiaji hopes that Ruwat Nagari can further enhance togetherness and friendship, as well as strengthen local culture. "The existence of a documentary film featuring figures who play a role in Malang City is expected to further increase people's love for this city," explained Sutiaji.
Sutiaji added that the greatness and success of Malang City today cannot be separated from the role of previous leaders. Therefore, it is very important to pay tribute to previous leaders. They are like, Ebes Sugiyono, Susamto, Suyitno, Peni Suparto, to Moch. Anton. Through this documentation, it is hoped that it can be a form of respect as well as a form of gratitude.
The documentary film will later aim to build a shared commitment in knitting together brotherhood with all elements of society. Including in this case are figures from Malang City or former Mayors of Malang.
"Through the documentary, the young generation in schools in Malang City can watch and be inspired. The existence and success of Malang City today did not just happen but through a long process," he concluded. (cah/ram)
