Indonesia Loves Linear Recitation with Malang City Government Program

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Indonesia Gemar Mengaji program led by Yayasan Yatim Mandiri Malang City received positive appreciation from the Malang City Government. The reason is that this program will also produce future generations of the nation who are moral and have character. If this nation is colored by many Quranic generations, then this nation will become a better nation.

At least that is what the Head of the Social Welfare Section of the Malang City Government, Drs. R Achmad Mabrur, said when attending the event, representing the Mayor of Malang at the Baitut Taqwa Mosque on Jalan Jakarta, Friday (23/04/2021). According to him, a program like this is also in line with the vision and mission of the City of Malang, especially in relation to producing a generation of the nation who are faithful and pious.

Mabrur added, from the program involving a number of parties, it should be sustainable, continuously promoted and continuous. So that the benefits are truly felt by the community or parties who really need a helping hand. Such as orphans and the poor.

"Moreover, this activity is carried out in the month of Ramadan or a month full of blessings. In addition to many parties who continue to compete in terms of goodness, the benefits or impacts are also very large for the community. So far, programs that are based on religion and are positive, we definitely fully support," explained Mabrur.

He gave an example, one of the programs of the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji which has been running for a long time, namely by giving special attention to teachers of the Koran and memorizers of the Koran. "They periodically receive incentives. Although the value may not be much, but at least there is attention from the Malang City Government," continued Mabrur.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Malang City Yatim Mandiri Foundation, Eko Budi Setyobudi said that similar programs have been running for a long time. "We also express our gratitude to the donors because even in the midst of a pandemic like now, there are still many parties who care about others," he said.

"Hopefully we will remain consistent in the future, so that what we do brings blessings and benefits to those in need and those who are entitled to receive it. In this case, the support of various parties is certainly very influential and plays a big role, especially in efforts to help solve the problems of this nation, namely by providing attention to orphans and the poor," explained Eko.

A similar statement was delivered by the administrator of the Zakat, Infaq, and Alms Agency (BAZIS) of Brawijaya University Malang, Dr. Achmad Muwafiq, S.Sos., M. Kom who also participated in the Indonesia Gemar Mengaji program. According to him, the institution he drives is ready and will continue to synergize with any party, of course so that this nation will be better in the future.

"We also have abundant and qualified human resources, so we always welcome any cooperation from anywhere. We, God willing, will always be ready to help anyone if needed," he explained.

In addition to being filled with reciting the Koran together, stories of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and istigasah, a number of aids in the form of basic necessities and cash were also handed over. The event then ended with breaking the fast together and praying Maghrib in congregation. (say/ram)
