Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Various matters in this world will be resolved well, one of which is if the ulama and umara walk hand in hand, have one vision and there is no misunderstanding. In this case, both elements must carry out their respective duties and functions well in the midst of society.

As a cleric, one must always invite the people to do good and be an example in realizing what is meant by good. While the umara, through the policies issued must side with the people and can prevent various things that can harm the people.
This was conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji during the Safari Ramadan event at the Al-Fatah Jami Mosque on Jalan Kolonel Sugiono Gang V Mergosono, Kedungkandang District, on Thursday (29/04/2021) evening. According to him, safari events like this are an effective way for the ulama and umara to establish good relations and strengthen each other.
The bespectacled man added that Indonesia is a country inhabited by a diverse society, so harmony is needed to realize a just and prosperous society. Meanwhile, another meaning that can be taken from this safari event, explained Mayor Sutiaji, is because the mosque is the main door to the formation of goodness and harmony.
"From every place of our prostration in the mosque, it will give peace. From here will be formed a moral development that will also be an important instrument in forming a strong attitude and character of the people," he added.
At the end of his sermon, Mayor Sutiaji hoped and invited the ulama and umara to carry out their roles optimally. "Let us take the example of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, where when he preached, he not only invited the people to do good but he also became an example or role model for all people," he explained.
As with the implementation of Safari Ramadan in the three previous mosques, the Malang City Government also handed over Rp15 million in cash assistance to the Takmir of the Al-Fatah Jami Mosque. The assistance, in addition to meeting the needs of the mosque, can also be used for the welfare of the community, such as providing assistance to orphans and/or the poor. (say/ram)
