Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – In the Covid-19 pandemic, the East Java Regional Development Bank (Bank Jatim) held a virtual annual general meeting of shareholders for the 2020 financial year. The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji together with the Head of Bank Jatim Malang Branch, Herry Setya Yudakka witnessed it live from the Malang Mayor's meeting room, Monday (3/5/2021).

The Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa said, borrowing the term used by the Commissioner of Bank Jatim who is also the Regional Secretary of East Java Province, that 'we are not only looking for rewards, but also the break even point (BEP)'.
"Bank Jatim continues to make efforts to improve so that what is not allowed by religion and regulations must be avoided. As is known, the economic conditions in East Java are still relatively resilient amid the Covid-19 pandemic," said Khofifah.
"We can see that the economy in East Java is still under control because we can contribute to the national GRDP by 14 percent," continued Khofifah.
This achievement would not have been possible without synergy with all stakeholders, including Bank Jatim. Where banking has a very important role in economic growth in East Java. In addition to being a collector and distributor of community funds, banking is also present in supporting the implementation of regional development in increasing development and its results.
"I want to convey that between South East Java and North East Java, we still have to provide encouragement so that South East Java can get accelerated development," explained Khofifah.
The existence of Bank Jatim as part of the banking industry is not only a profit institution, but also has a moral obligation to improve and stimulate the economic sector in the region. In addition, Bank Jatim also helps strengthen the expansion of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sector. (say/ram)
