Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) once again reminded state administrators and Civil Servants (PNS) to reject gratuities related to their positions and contrary to their obligations or duties, especially regarding the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 2021.

The KPK also asked state administrators and civil servants to set a good example for the community by not requesting, giving, and receiving gratification by taking advantage of the Covid-19 pandemic to commit corrupt acts. This is because such actions can create conflicts of interest, are contrary to regulations and codes of ethics, and carry the risk of criminal sanctions.
As a reminder, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) issued Circular Letter (SE) Number 13 of 2021 concerning Prevention of Corruption and Control of Gratification related to Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri on April 28, 2021.
In the circular, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) once again reminded state administrators and civil servants that requests for funds and/or gifts as holiday allowances (THR) or other terms by civil servants or state administrators, either individually or on behalf of an institution, are prohibited acts and can have implications for criminal acts of corruption.
The KPK also appealed to the heads of ministries/institutions/regional governments and BUMN/BUMD to prohibit the use of official facilities for personal interests. Official facilities should only be used for official-related interests.
The heads of ministries/institutions/regional governments and BUMN/BUMD are also expected to issue internal appeals to employees in their work environment to reject gratuities related to their positions and contrary to their duties.
On the other hand, the leaders of associations/companies/communities are also expected to take preventive measures by appealing to their members not to provide gratification that is considered a bribe, grease money or bribery in other forms. If there is a request for gratification, bribery, or extortion by civil servants or state administrators, the KPK appeals to immediately report it to law enforcement officers or authorities.
If due to certain conditions, civil servants or state administrators cannot refuse gratification, they must report to the KPK no later than 30 working days since the gratification was received. Information related to the mechanism and reporting form for receiving gratification can be accessed through the link https://gratifikasi.kpk.go.id or by contacting the KPK public information service at telephone number 198.
