Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Budi Utomo Teacher Training Institute (IKIP) or commonly called IBU together with the management of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Malang Raya studied the virtues with the title 'Literacy of virtues in Journalism' on Tuesday (04/05/2021) at Campus C, Jalan Citandui, Purwantoro Village, Blimbing.
IBU Chancellor Dr. Nurcholis Sunuyeko, M.Si said that with this Ngaji Kebudiutamaan, there are values that must be instilled in every aspect of life, even a journalist must also be able to instill them when carrying out his journalistic duties.
"How to always care and also what must always be developed. Like the values of gratitude and sincerity. Especially to always be able to share with others. Then more than that so that what we do always stays away from harmful things," said the man who is also one of the mentors of PWI Malang Raya.
For that, Nurcholish continued, he hopes that the values of virtue will bring positive behavior in life in the community. "This virtue is expected to be applied in everyday life, both normatively and morally," he explained.
In this way, Nurcholish added, if we can implement virtue, then we can create togetherness that unites diversity, by upholding cultural values, customs and politeness.
"That is what we continue to strive to be able to bring it to this campus, which carries a religious nationalist mission. So that later on, future leaders of the nation with character will be born," he continued.
This was agreed by the Head of PWI Malang Raya, Cahyono who said that such an event was very positive. Because, especially during the month of Ramadan like this, there are many good things that can be done to get mercy from Allah SWT. (say/ram)
