Lowokwaru, (malangkota.go.id) – The Bumi Ngalam (Kabunga) Works Exhibition presents famous painters, namely Suderi and Joko Paryono at the exhibition booth at Malang Town Square (Matos), Friday (7/5/2021).

Suderi admitted that he was happy to be able to attend the joint exhibition with Kabunga in Matos which will run until May 20, 2021. This event is a special event in the midst of the pandemic which has hit various aspects of life, including artists.
"We want to be present directly at this exhibition to encourage the people of Malang City to continue working," explained Suderi.
Before participating in the exhibition and painting facial sketches in Matos, Suderi admitted that he had been involved in the art world in Malang City since 1976. Not only painting, Suderi also used to sculpt, make statues, and various other types of artwork. "The Buto sleeping statue in front of Kota Baru Station is my work that I made when Malang City was led by Mayor Ebes Sugiyono," explained Suderi.
Meanwhile, Joko Paryono, who comes from Malang City, spends more time in Bali. Due to the pandemic, he returned to Malang because it was no longer possible to be in Bali in a difficult situation like this.
"In Malang City, I am back to being passionate about creating. The many events in this city can be a spirit to continue creating," said Joko.
The Head of Kabunga Malang City, Yuyun Sulastri revealed that this exhibition deliberately presents senior artists in Malang City. All participants who took part in this activity were all over 60 years old.
"This is a form of our appreciation for the senior artists in Malang City to be able to create a track record of their extraordinary works," said Yuyun.
The experience of Malang City losing Cak Kandar and Azis Franklin when their works were not well documented is a special concern. The goal is so that in the future it will not happen again like what was experienced. (cah/ram)
