Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – As a form of concern and desire to share with others during the month of Ramadan, members of the Malang City DPRD provided assistance to around 100 orphans on Saturday (8/5/2021). The event, which was held in the lobby of the Malang City DPRD Office, the orphans who received assistance from several orphanages in Malang City.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Malang City DPRD, I Made Riandiana Kartika gave a lot of motivation and invitation to the orphans to always study hard in order to achieve what they aspire to. According to him, education is one thing that is very important to determine the future.
“Every citizen has the same right to obtain a proper education and occupy a position. So all my children don't need to be pessimistic in achieving and realizing their dreams. "Basically all Indonesian citizens have the same opportunities," said Made.
Furthermore, he invited these orphans to later contribute positively and achieve their best for this nation. "We don't know, none of you can become mayors, DPRD speakers, governors, ministers, and even presidents," said Made.
"Every human being has their own life line since in the womb and none of us know. Therefore, because you are still of school age, study well and make your loved ones proud with various achievements," continued Made.
In this activity, in addition to being attended by 45 members of the local DPRD, a number of media crews were also involved, especially members of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) of Malang Raya who were one of the supporters of the event.
Made said that by involving the press, it will further strengthen the cooperation that has been established quite well so far. "We need the presence of the media crew, because without them, our work programs and various things that we do will not be known to the public," he concluded. (say/ram)
