Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – Cultivating a social spirit and building togetherness in the month of Ramadan, Karang Taruna Klojen District, Malang City held a social action together with the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko by providing assistance to orphans and the elderly (lansia), Sunday (9/5/2021).

The Head of Karang Taruna Klojen District, Kurniawan Pancolo, said that this charity activity was part of the gratitude of the Klojen community for being able to share with those in need. This activity also marked the return of Karang Taruna Klojen District after a period of inactivity.
"We hope that this activity will not only take place in the month of Ramadan. In the future, we want to do more activities. This assistance was given to 23 orphans and 53 elderly people in Klojen District," explained Kurniawan.
Deputy Mayor of Malang, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko greatly appreciates what Karang Taruna Klojen District has done. In the midst of the pandemic situation, they can still share with people in need.
"Hopefully this activity can ease the burden on the community during these difficult times," said Edi.
Bung Edi, the nickname of the Deputy Mayor of Malang, added that with the current pandemic conditions that are not yet clear when it will end, he also invited the public to continue to obey health protocols. "With a community that is united and disciplined in implementing health protocols, it is hoped that it can continue to suppress the spread of Covid-19," he concluded. (cah/ram)
