Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – On the first day of work after joint leave and the Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri holiday, all members of the Malang City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) underwent swab tests and drug tests at the Malang City DPRD Office, Monday (17/5/2021).

Malang City DPRD Chairperson I Made Riandiana Kartika revealed that the drug test and swab test on the first day of work had been planned and scheduled in advance by the Malang City DPRD Deliberative Body (Banmus).
"This activity is to ensure that all members of the council, namely 45 people, are healthy, free from Covid-19 and also free from drug abuse," said Made, Monday (17/5/2021).
This drug test is the result of collaboration with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Malang City, while the implementation of swab tests for all members of the Malang City DPRD is in collaboration with the Malang City Labkesda.
It is hoped that by implementing drug tests and swab tests, it can help suppress the spread of Covid-19 and at the same time all council members can be examples to the community not to abuse drugs.
Considering the current situation where the government still prohibits halalbihalal and open houses, Made said that this activity is also a limited halalbihalal event.
"While we are still in the atmosphere of Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijriah, I as the Chairman of the Malang City DPRD on behalf of all council members apologize physically and mentally," said Made. (cah/yon)
