Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji became one of the speakers in the VIP Forum, Costumer News & Business Channel (CNBC) Indonesia with the theme of Regional Economic Revival Post-Pandemic, Thursday (20/5/2021). The Mayor of Malang participated in the activity which was held virtually from the Ngalam Command Center (NCC) Room, Malang City Hall.
Sutiaji expressed his optimism that economic recovery in Malang City could recover more quickly from the slump. From the survey that has been conducted in Malang City, there are sectors that are a joint commitment to be developed.
"Such as in the processed food industry sub-sector, especially frozen food. If in other sectors there was a drastic decline, in Malang City there was an increase of 123 percent. The basis is e-Commerce," explained Sutiaji, Thursday (20/5/2021).
The Mayor of Malang said this must continue to be strengthened. That is why his party asked Bank Jatim to continue to provide support, as complained about the interest rates for MSMEs which are expected to decrease.
"In this case, it is a regional bank. If this can be done, I am sure that Malang City will experience an extraordinary economic surge," Sutiaji said.
He added that his party, in this case together with Diskopindag, will also continue to strengthen. "And the funding of Bank Jatim to be able to provide real contributions. Hopefully in the future there will be no more problems related to funding," he concluded. (cah/yon)
