
Jakarta, (malangkota.go.id) – As of May 17, 2021, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) received 86 reports of receiving gratuities related to the month of Ramadan and the 2021 Eid al-Fitr celebrations worth a total of IDR 198,18 million.
Consisting of 81 reports in the form of reports of receipt of gratification and five other reports are rejections. With details, namely 20 reports came from BUMN, 17 reports from ministries, 40 reports from provincial, district and city governments, and nine reports from state institutions and other government institutions.
This was conveyed by Acting KPK Spokesperson Ipi Maryati Kuding on Saturday (22/5/2021). She said that the reported gratification items were in the form of food parcels worth a total of IDR 24,15 million and other parcels worth IDR 25,14 million. The rest was in the form of money worth IDR 148,89 million with the lowest reported value of IDR 500 thousand to in the form of foreign currency denominations worth SGD 10.000.
"The purpose of the gift is intended as additional money to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr holiday allowance (THR) to express gratitude as well as a gift in preparation for the holiday," added the woman in the hijab.
Meanwhile, the most widely used reporting medium, explained Ipi, is through the Gratification Online (GOL) application of the gratification management unit (UPG) with 35 reports. "Furthermore, individual GOLs totaled 27 reports, and electronic mails submitted by individuals or through UPG totaled 22 reports. The remaining two reports were submitted via letter/post," he explained.
Ipi further said, based on data from the last four years 2017 - 2020, the KPK received an average of 164 reports of receiving gratification related to Eid al-Fitr each year. Consecutively 163 reports in 2017, then 169 reports, 188 reports, and 134 reports.
The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) appeals to civil servants and state administrators who have not submitted reports of receiving gratuities related to their positions and contrary to their obligations or duties, especially related to the month of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, to immediately report to the KPK.
"In accordance with the laws and regulations, the receipt of gratuities must be reported to the Corruption Eradication Committee no later than 30 working days from the date of receipt of the gratuity. Officials who report the receipt of gratuities are free from the threat of criminal penalties as stipulated in Article 12B of Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Corruption, namely life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 20 years and a fine of at least IDR 200 million and a maximum of IDR 1 billion," explained Ipi.
Referring to KPK Regulation Number 2 of 2019 concerning Reporting of Gratification, he said, the reporter submits his report by filling out a report form which at least contains information about the recipient's identity in the form of Population Identification Number (NIK), name, complete address, and telephone number.
Information on the person giving the gratification, the position of the person receiving the gratification, the place and time of receiving the gratification, a description of the type of gratification received, the value of the gratification received, the chronology of the event of receiving the gratification, and evidence, documents, or supporting data related to the gratification report.
"The report form can be submitted in written form, electronic mail, or application in accordance with the applicable mechanism. Reporting gratification is now also easier through the GOL application. The application can be downloaded on the Play Store or App Store.
