Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Dendi Santoso has started a new chapter in his football career. The Arema FC player has started a football school called Dendi Santoso Soccer School. However, the Malang native emphasized that he has no intention of retiring from football.
In the last few days, Dendi has started to make his fans curious with his countdown uploads on his personal Instagram @dendisantoso. Starting from uploading a picture with the words 'coming soon', he also uploaded various photo poses.
This has drawn comments from netizens, but the player is still sparing in his comments. Starting from the prediction that he will move clubs, launching a jersey, to becoming a brand ambassador for a product.
"When the time is right, I will definitely answer. And I think now is the time," said Dendi Santoso on Friday (28/5/2021).
Dendi also said that he is preparing a soccer school for children in Malang. He intends to share his soccer knowledge to those who aspire to become professional soccer players.
"I opened Dendi Santoso Soccer School because I definitely want to share the knowledge of playing soccer. For children, who must build a soccer career from an early age. Not because they will stop playing soccer," he said.
According to him, Dendi Santoso Soccer School targets the grassroots, from the grassroots. Picking up those who have dreams since early on. So, he is ready to invite them to prepare for that career. "I start from children aged 7-8 years, 9-10 years, and up to the age of 12 years," he said.
Then, he mentioned that Dendi Santoso Soccer School has an attraction in the premium facilities it offers. Such as with a quality field, because it collaborates with Unggul Sport Center. Later, training will take place at Abe Mini Stadium, which is a mini soccer field and synthetic grass.
He said, with a good field, good equipment and good materials, it will definitely produce good soccer players too. Therefore, he also held a selection to recruit students who want to learn soccer.
"So we will really see the quality. But, it doesn't mean that those who are not good are not recruited. We will see, if they are really serious and have dreams, they can be built here. They will be taught from scratch. So there is no need to worry, their children can't play football and are afraid of the selection. Sometimes there are parents who are afraid first," explained Dendi.
He also emphasized that Dendi Santoso Soccer School is ready to accept male and female students. Based on communication with the AFC-licensed coaching team, for early ages, it is okay if male and female training is carried out together. "It can be for male or female students," he added.
Dendi said that Dendi Santoso Soccer School registration starts from May 25 to June 2, 2021. Then, the selection will be held at Abe Mini Stadium on Thursday, June 3. The cost to take part in this selection is set at IDR 150 thousand. (say/ram)
