Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government participated in the Pancasila Birth Day commemoration ceremony on June 1, 2021 by wearing traditional Malang clothing from the Ngalam Command Center, Malang City Hall, virtually, Tuesday (1/6/2021). The ceremony was led directly by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) from Jakarta.
President Jokowi said that Pancasila Birth Day every June 1 must be truly utilized to strengthen the values of Pancasila in social, national and state life.
"Although Pancasila has been integrated into our lives throughout Indonesia's existence, the challenges faced by Pancasila are not getting lighter," said President Jokowi.
Jokowi added that globalization and interaction between parts of the world do not necessarily increase common views and togetherness. What must be watched out for is the increase in rivalry and competition between views and ideologies.
Transnational ideology tends to increase and enter every line of social life in various ways. The development of science and technology also influences the contemplation of ideology.
The industrial revolution 4.0 has provided various facilities for dialogue, interaction, and organization. On a large scale across national borders when connectivity hits the world, interactions between the world will be easier and faster.
This convenience if used by radical transnational ideology to penetrate all corners of Indonesia, all circles, regardless of location and time. The speed of expansion of the transnational ideology can exceed the standard norm when utilizing technological destruction.
"Facing all this requires a forum and deepening of Pancasila values that cannot be done in ordinary ways. Extraordinary ways are needed by utilizing the development of science and technology," said Jokowi.
Especially the industrial revolution 4.0 and Pancasila must be the foundation in developing science and technology. "I invite all government officials, religious leaders, community leaders, educators, young Indonesian professionals and all Indonesian people," he continued.
The ceremony from Malang City was attended by the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji, Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko, Forkopimda, and heads of regional apparatus. (cah/ram)
