Jakarta (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government was specifically invited to a trade and investment mission by the East Java Provincial Government in collaboration with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. In this case, the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji attended the meeting in Jakarta, Thursday (3/6/2021). There were 49 business actors from East Java and 100 business actors from DKI Jakarta who attended this event.
"The purpose of this activity is to directly bring together traders, between the two regions, including facilitating the distribution of basic necessities. Therefore, several products are also included in the trade cooperation, namely rice, eggs, and chicken meat," said Sutiaji.
After the opening ceremony, the agenda was continued with a limited meeting between the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan, the Deputy Governor of East Java Dr. H. Emil Elestianto Dardak, B. Bus., M. Sc, and the Mayor of Malang Sutiaji. The limited meeting which lasted about an hour, agreed on a trade agreement between Perumda Tugu Aneka Usaha (Tunas) Malang City and Perumda Dharma Jaya DKI Jakarta.
"We are grateful that this trade mission has brought results. Mr. Anies responded positively to this. He said that DKI Jakarta still needs a lot of supplies (products) from the regions, especially food or processed food. We are grateful to the East Java Provincial Government which also supports Malang City," said Sutiaji after the limited meeting.
Mayor Sutiaji added that trade missions like this will also be carried out with other regions, even across provinces. "We are trying to expand the market. In the midst of the economic downturn due to the Covid-19 pandemic, strengthening economic cooperation between regions is one of the keys to the revival of the national economy," said Sutiaji optimistically.
The results of this trade mission were immediately followed up with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Acting Director of Perumda Tunas Malang City, Elfiatur Roikha and the Director of Perumda Dharma Jaya, Raditya Endra Budiman.
"We will supply 500 tons of chicken and beef per month. This cooperation is also carried out with PT. Food Station for rice, coffee, and spice products that will be supplied by Perumda Tunas," said Elfiatur Roikha.
Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Dardak emphasized that the cooperation between East Java and DKI Jakarta is a meeting of one third of business actors in Indonesia. The goal is expected to be able to revive and stimulate the national economy. Where 118 trillion trade volume between East Java and DKI Jakarta.
