Malang, malangkota.go.id – The Malang City Government through the Transportation Agency (Dishub) and the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) together with the ranks of Denpom, TNI/Polri again carried out parking control operations, Monday (7/6/2021).
Head of the Malang City Transportation Agency, Heru Mulyono, S.IP., MT said that the parking control operation this time targeted a number of locations that had the potential to cause congestion, including the corridors of Jalan Merdeka Timur, Jalan Trunojoyo, Jalan Kawi and Jalan Brigjen Slamet Riadi.
During the control process, a number of violations were found, including parking beyond the specified limit, illegal parking at locations with no parking signs and no stopping signs, and parking at no parking markings.
"Parking officers and members of the public who commit violations have been given warnings and directed to occupy permitted parking locations," said Heru.
In addition, this operation also carried out control following up on reports from the public regarding parking attendants who collected fees that did not correspond to parking rates at the Bernardi restaurant and control of illegal parking attendants at the Rawon Tessy restaurant.
"The operation will be continued at other points in Malang City with the hope that parking officers will be more obedient to the rules. In addition, vehicle owners will be more aware of following the parking rules that have been determined. So that road users will be more comfortable in traveling," he concluded. (ndu/ram)
