Klojen, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Health Office is still waiting for further information about the Covid-19 vaccination for the general public from the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes). The vaccination is planned to be carried out in July 2021.
Head of the Surveillance and Immunization Section for the P2P Division of the Malang City Health Office, dr. Dyah Inarsih said that she had heard information that vaccination for the general public would be carried out in July 2021. However, so far the Malang City Health Office has not received official notification from the Ministry of Health.
"So far, we are still waiting for instructions from the Ministry of Health regarding the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination for the general public," explained Dr. Dyah, Wednesday (9/6/2021).
To date, the Malang City Health Office has almost completed vaccinations for medical personnel, public servants, and the elderly. The Health Office also continues to collect data in accordance with the Population and Civil Registration Office (Dispendukcapil).
"The registration mechanism is the same as the current one. According to the region later, stay closest to the domicile. Be it at the nearest health center, clinic, hospital or at a public service location," he said.
Vaccination for the general public will be given to people aged 18-59 years. Previously, the Malang City Health Office had difficulty finding patients aged 60 years and over.
"We are still waiting. It is possible that the public vaccination will be carried out in July after the vaccination for public services is complete," said Dyah.
Regarding the total vaccine received by the Malang City Government in stages one and two, it has reached 270 thousand doses of vaccine. For the general public, approximately 300.000 doses of vaccine will be needed. (cah/ram)
