Kedungkandang (malangkota.go.id) – Covid-19 vaccination in Cemorokandang Village was enthusiastically welcomed by participants, namely the elderly and local residents. Vaccination was carried out on June 15-16, 2021 at the RW 11 Hall, Cemorokandang Village, Malang City, Wednesday (16/6/2021).

Covid-19 Vaccination in RW 11, Cemorokandang Village

Cemorokandang Village Head, Ahmad Ridwan, SE said that on the first or second day of vaccination, quite a lot of participants attended the Covid-19 vaccination in Cemorokandang Village.

"The first day of vaccination on (15/6) there were 150 participants who took part in the vaccination. For the second day, there could be more, around 200 participants," explained Ridwan, Wednesday (16/6/2021).

Ridwan admitted that even though there were quite a lot of participants, the event could run smoothly. Because there are still many participants who want to be vaccinated, his party is communicating again for the implementation of the next stage of vaccination in a different place.

"After the vaccination in RW 11, the plan is for the next vaccination to be carried out in RW 2. However, when it will be implemented is still being communicated further with the health team," said Ridwan.

Ridwan said that the enthusiasm of vaccination participants was quite high, which was due to the vaccination site being close to the community, namely at Balai RW 11. With a close location, it turned out that participants could reach them more quickly, including the elderly.

"If it is done in the sub-district, we feel sorry for the elderly who have to be taken by their families. If it is done in a nearby place like this, the elderly can go by themselves," said Ridwan.

Vaccine participant in RW 11, Cemorokandang Village, Sumaryanto admitted that he was happy to be able to carry out vaccination at the RW 11 Hall. This is because he often travels out of town. The certainty of getting the vaccine makes him calmer when going on a long journey.

"Indeed, after the vaccine does not guarantee 100 percent safety from Covid-19. However, by being vaccinated, this is our effort to stay healthy," said Sumaryanto.

Sumaryanto admitted that before being vaccinated, he was nervous because he had not been treated and injected at the hospital for a long time. It turned out that after the vaccine, all those worries disappeared because it felt normal.

"It feels like the vaccine is just like being bitten by ants. After this first stage of the vaccine, I hope that in the future I can also get the second stage of the vaccine," said Sumaryanto. (cah/ram)
