Malang (malangkota.go.id) – Eight members of the Nahdlatul Ulama Student Association (IPNU) and the Nahdlatul Ulama Female Student Association (IPPNU) held an audience with the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Malang City, Erik Setyo Santoso, ST., MT at Malang City Hall, Friday (18/6/2021). They also introduced the management for the 2021-2023 term of office.
Regional Secretary Erik appreciated the intention of IPNU and IPPNU to establish communication with the Malang City Government. Regarding cooperation with the Malang City Government, Erik said that IPNU and IPPNU have the potential and can synergize with related regional apparatuses, for example with the Education and Culture Office (Dikbud), and the National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol).
"There is a pattern of cooperation that we can develop and implement again. The new management certainly brings a new spirit. Among them is the spirit to play a more active role in the world of education. IPNU and IPPNU pay great attention to education issues in Malang City," said Erik.
Meanwhile, IPNU Chairman Ilman Ardhy Chalim said that, related to student issues, perhaps a collaborative program could be created between IPNU and IPPNU with the Malang City Government. The issue of radicalism, for example, has entered the realm of education. IPNU and IPPNU want to be present as counselors to minimize radical teachings that have infiltrated students.
"In addition, due to the flow of information that is so free but with minimal filters, people, especially students, are easily influenced by negative things," he said.
In the framework of the plan, the Malang City Government is open to invitations for collaboration in order to achieve a dignified Malang City. The Malang City Government is waiting for an official proposal from IPNU and IPPNU regarding the invitation for cooperation to realize the program. (ari/ram)
