Malang (malangkota.go.id) – The Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of Malang City is rolling out a program of outreach services entitled 'Bapenda Sambang Kelurahan'. Of the 57 sub-districts for the first stage, 12 sub-districts were targeted and to date, nine sub-districts have been targeted with an income of around Rp300 million. This service is one of the efforts to meet the revenue target from a number of potential taxes, such as land and building tax (PBB), restaurants, and advertising of Rp629 billion.
Head of Bapenda Malang City, Dr. Handi Priyanto, AP., M.Si said while reviewing the Bapenda Sambang Kelurahan service in Buring Village, Kedungkandang District, Wednesday (23/6/2021) said that the enthusiasm of the residents was extraordinary.
"By bringing services closer to citizens who are taxpayers, it will automatically increase citizen compliance in fulfilling their obligations. Especially to pay taxes that are due at the end of July 2021," said Handi Priyanto.
For the second quarter target, he said, it has been realized and even a surplus of Rp25 billion. From the remaining two quarters, Handi is optimistic that he can achieve his target through several other programs. Such as opening services on holidays, intensifying socialization of the importance of paying taxes by deploying special teams or through social media and online payments. "This is also to facilitate young people or millennials in paying taxes," he added.
Furthermore, Handi said, in the Bapenda Sambang Kelurahan program, in addition to serving PBB payments, there are also tax data collection services, changing the name of tax objects, splitting tax objects, and changing the owner of tax objects. Not only getting special prizes in the form of masks, hand sanitizers, and gloves, residents who participate in this program also have the opportunity to win the main prize of a car which will be drawn on July 28, 2021.
"We urge all people in Malang City to immediately pay off their PBB before the due date of July 31, 2021. Because at the end of July, Bapenda will draw a PBB prize draw and there are main prizes of cars, motorbikes, bicycles, televisions, refrigerators and so on.
