Malang (malangkota.go.id) – As the increase in Covid-19 cases triggered by the emergence of a number of clusters in several areas, including in Malang City, various efforts have been made by a number of parties such as the National Police. In Malang City on Friday (25/6/2021) the Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the Malang City Police provided free vaccines and antigen swab tests for residents who wanted to make and extend their Driving Licenses (SIM).

At the mobile SIM service (Simling) in the area outside Gajayana Stadium, around 100 residents received the first and second stages of the Sinovac vaccine and underwent an antigen swab test before taking care of the extension or making a new SIM. For residents who received AstraZeneca in their first vaccination and/or did not want to undergo an antigen swab test, they cannot be served.

Malang City Police Chief, AKBP Budi Hermanto after reviewing the implementation of this service said that in addition to welcoming the 74th Anniversary of Bhayangkara. This is also an effort by the Police to suppress Covid-19 cases. "On the other hand, the involvement of the Police is also to further increase group immunity or herd immunity," he said.

"The public's enthusiasm for this vaccine is also very large, yesterday we saw the Sukun Police Station until it was completed, around 300 were fulfilled. So the public's enthusiasm is very large. Today it is also being carried out at the Blimbing Police Station, we will also review it," he said.

This event is a creative breakthrough from Satlantas, and on the one hand, they must see how the synergy between the police and the government can have a shared concern for the community.

For your information, in addition to the Simling service, the Malang City Police are currently distributing 3.000 vaccine injections for residents, 1.500 doses of which are divided into five Polsek in the city.
