Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said that Malang City always places representatives of Malang City at the provincial and national levels for village and sub-district competitions. This was conveyed by Sutiaji at the welcoming ceremony for the arrival of the Village and Sub-district Competition Assessment Team in Malang City, Monday (28/6/2021).
"Malang City always places its representatives at the provincial and national levels. Malang City is always enthusiastic about welcoming the village competition. If previously it was still unable to become a champion, now Malang City hopes to be the best," said Sutiaji.
"I hope that Gadingkasri Village, which currently represents Malang City, can be the best at the provincial and national levels," he continued.
In the previous year, Malang City was represented by Tlogomas Village, Kasin Village, Sawojajar Village, and Blimbing Village.
Unlike the previous year's competition, Sutiaji said that this year's village competition certainly has a different nuance. Because the conditions are still in the Covid-19 pandemic, of course there will be many limitations. What is more expected from this competition is a positive impact with increased public knowledge. Where after the competition the community will know more about how to carry out development planning, the development process to overseeing development.
Head of the Village and Sub-district Competition Assessment Team Heru Suseno revealed that Malang City has always been nominated in every sub-district competition event. This proves that what Malang City has done in coaching by the Mayor of Malang is good.
"Lastly, there was this competition in Tulusrejo Village in 2019. We hope that Gadingkasri Village can also be as good as Tulusrejo," said Heru.
The village competition activity is to spur the village to be enthusiastic in providing the best service to the community. This is also a spur and a place for self-introspection of the development that has been carried out. (cah/ram)
