Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The plenary meeting regarding the Submission of the Discussion Results Report on the Draft Regional Regulation on Accountability for the Implementation of the 2020 Regional Budget was held virtually from the Malang City DPRD building, Tuesday (29/6/2021). This virtual meeting was held to suppress the transmission of Covid-19, because recently the number of positive Covid-19 cases has continued to increase.
Malang City DPRD Chairman I Made Riandiana Kartika said, our financial situation in 2020 has indeed experienced many difficulties. Because from March 2020 until now the situation is still the Covid-19 pandemic.
"Whatever was achieved in 2020 must still be assessed as material for making improvements in 2021. Moreover, the current situation is not much different compared to what was experienced in 2020. In 2021, there must not be a repeat of the budget surplus (Silpa) like in 2020," said Made.
Made added that what was well implemented in 2020 must continue to be improved. Likewise, what was lacking in 2020 should not be done again in 2021. Specifically for the Covid-19 problem, the Malang City DPRD hopes that the government can be more focused in handling it.
"Of course, looking at 2020, there are still many weaknesses in handling Covid-19. Currently, Covid-19 is experiencing an increasing trend, the government must be more serious in handling it," explained Made.
If necessary, he said, some activities that are considered less urgent to be carried out should be diverted to handling Covid-19. Such as, among others, the addition of Public Safety Center (PSC) 119 Malang City personnel. "Because currently the PSC personnel are still nine. In the future, there must be more additions. Likewise for the embalming team, there must be more additions," said Made.
Currently, seven PSC 119 Malang City personnel have also been exposed to Covid-19. Do not let the bodies of Covid-19 positive patients stay overnight in the hospital due to limited manpower. "Personal protective equipment (PPE) is very much needed for handling Covid-19, buy the best quality. If there are PSC 119 Malang City personnel who are exposed to Covid-19, it is clear that services will be disrupted," he concluded. (cah/ram)
