Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – To deal with the Covid-19 pandemic situation where the positive numbers are still high, the Governor of East Java, Kofifah Indar Parawansa, utilized technology to hold a virtual Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) for Changes to the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD), Thursday (1/7/2021).

Kofifah revealed that the most fundamental basis for the Revised RPJMD is in the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 86 of 2017 concerning Procedures for Planning, Controlling and Evaluation of Regional Development, Procedures for Evaluation of Draft Regional Regulations on Regional Long-Term Development Plans and Regional Medium-Term Development Plans, and Procedures for Changes to Development Plans. Where the Revised RPJMD can be made if the results of control and evaluation indicate that harmonization is needed. This is regulated in article 342 of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation.
"Then if there is a natural disaster, political turmoil, economic crisis, and also socio-cultural conflict," explained Kofifah.
RPJMD Changes can also be made if there is regional expansion, security disturbances, or changes in national policies. So, he said, Covid-19 is categorized as a non-natural disaster but can pose a risk to other things. In addition, the remaining RPJMD is not less than three years.
After this event, all regions are expected to prepare the best programs for the future. For example, synergizing programs from the central government, provinces, and districts/cities.
Moreover, the condition of East Java in the past week, the spread of Covid-19 has increased by 90 degrees. This of course not only affects health, but also affects other sectors. Be it socio-cultural, economic or religious sectors.
"I ask for help from the regents and mayors as leaders of the Covid-19 Task Force in their respective regions to act. Be it anticipating, mitigating, and also finding solutions systematically," he concluded. (cah/ram)
