These are some of the things conveyed by the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa in a virtual coordination meeting with regional heads regarding the implementation of Emergency PPKM. Khofifah added that at the East Java Provincial Government level, various elements of society such as the Muhammadiyah Regional Management and Nahdlatul Ulama have agreed to implement Emergency PPKM.
This step, said the woman in the hijab, can be taken by the regents and mayors so that the implementation of the Emergency PPKM runs optimally. "We at the East Java Provincial Government have also prepared a number of social assistance or compensation for parties who will be greatly affected by the implementation of this Emergency PPKM. In the next 1-2 days, we will also coordinate with the regents and mayors," explained Khofifah.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. According to him, what needs to be conveyed to the public as stated by the Governor of East Java is that this Emergency PPKM is to protect and save the community.
"For all parties, please convey to the public that Indonesia and Malang City in particular are in an emergency situation. The threat of the danger of Covid-19 virus transmission with the increasing emergence of new virus variants such as Alpha, Beta and Delta, the attacks are very dangerous. So in addition to the justice operations that will be held routinely, there will also be blockades, especially at the entrance and exit of Malang City," added the bespectacled man.
In its implementation, Mayor Sutiaji explained, among others, such as turning off the Public Street Lighting (PJU) in crowded centers at 20.00 WIB, restaurants, although there are relatively no restrictions, but after 20.00 WIB are not allowed to provide seating, only serving take away or take-out services.
"The mayor's circular will be linear or copy paste from the regulations issued by the Minister of Home Affairs and the Governor of East Java," he explained.
Meanwhile, regarding compensation, Mayor Sutiaji has prepared a budget allocation for RT and RW heads during the implementation of Emergency PPKM of IDR 500 thousand for each RT and RW head. For each street vendor (PKL) who is truly affected, IDR 300 thousand is allocated. "Over time, if other compensation is needed and perhaps for groups outside of those two criteria, it will be discussed further," he explained.
The man from Lamongan Regency also emphasized that the community and business actors can support this program. In practice, a persuasive and humanist approach will be applied. "However, for parties who violate after receiving the first warning from officers, strict sanctions will be imposed, starting from business closure to legal action if it must be done," concluded Sutiaji.
