PT KAI Daop 8 Cancels Train Trips During Emergency PPKM

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – During the implementation of Emergency PPKM on 3-20 July 2021, PT KAI Daop 8 Surabaya invited the public to comply with the policies set by the government. To support this policy, during the Emergency PPKM period, PT KAI Daop 8 Surabaya canceled several long-distance and local train (KA) trips.

The list of trains that will be canceled during the Emergency PPKM period includes the long-distance trains Brawijaya train on the Malang-Gambir (PP) route, Gumarang train on the Surabaya Pasar Turi-Pasar Senen (PP) route, Mutiara Selatan train on the Surabaya Gubeng-Bandung (PP) route, Kertanegara train on the Malang-Purwokerto (PP) route, Sancaka train on the Surabaya Gubeng-Yogyakarta (PP) route, Kertajaya train on the Surabaya Pasar Turi-Pasar Senen (PP) route, Matarmaja train on the Malang-Pasar Senen (PP) route, Pasundan train on the Surabaya Gubeng-Kiaracondong (PP) route, and Ranggajati train on the Cirebon-Surabaya-Jember (PP) route.

Meanwhile, the local trains whose departures were canceled were the Dhoho train on the Surabaya City-Kertosono-Blitar (PP) route, the Penataran train on the Surabaya City-Malang-Blitar (PP) route, the Penataran train on the Malang-Surabaya City route, the Tumapel train on the Surabaya Gubeng-Malang route, the Local Economy Train on the Surabaya Pasar Turi-Cepu (PP) route, the Bojonegoro Local Economy Train on the Sidoarjo-Surabaya-Bojonegoro (PP) route, the Kertosono Local Economy Train on the Surabaya City-Kertosono (PP) route, and the Commuter Train on the Surabaya-Pasuruan (PP) route.

Regarding this, the Public Relations Manager of Daop 8 Surabaya, Luqman Arif, on Saturday (3/7/2021) said that prospective long-distance/local train passengers who already have tickets can cancel their tickets at all online ticket sales stations or services. contact center 121. Ticket fees will be refunded in full or 100% excluding booking fees by KAI.

"The ticket cancellation process can be done up to a maximum of 30 days after the train departure schedule (H+30 from the date listed on the ticket). Information related to the cancellation process can contact the KAI 121 contact center for further guidance," he added.

PT KAI Daop 8 Surabaya apologizes to passengers whose trips were canceled during the Emergency PPKM period. This step was taken to suppress the spread of Covid-19.
