Street Vendor Social Assistance to be Disbursed Tomorrow, Mayor Sutiaji Asks Residents to Comply with Health Protocols

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government will distribute social assistance (Bansos) for street vendors (PKL) at 26 sub-district and urban village offices in the city on Saturday, (10/7/2021). This social assistance is given to street vendors affected by the Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) on 3-20 July 2021.

Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji had an audience with the Head of the Malang Post Office and the team

In response to this, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, held a coordination meeting with the Head of the Malang City Social Service, P3AP2KB, Dra. Penny Indriani, MM, Head of the Malang Post Office, Juniarto Agung, and the heads of related regional apparatuses in the mayor's office, Malang City Hall, Friday (9/7/2021).

"Hopefully the BST that will be disbursed next week can run smoothly. To residents who will pick it up at the Post Office, I ask you to continue to comply with health protocols," added Mayor Sutiaji.

Head of the Malang City Social Service P3AP2KB Penny Indriani said that the distribution location for this social assistance will be arranged by her party so that there are no queues. "We will arrange the location to avoid queues. So that health protocols can be implemented strictly in the field," said Penny Indriani.

Each region, he said, will be informed through Puskesos regarding the schedule and location for collecting the Rp300 thousand social assistance. His party also involved the role of the RT and RW heads in each region.
"So we have coordinated with the sub-district head, village head, and found out the RT/RW for street vendors affected by Covid-19," he said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) will also distribute cash social assistance (BST) stages five and six next week through the Post Office. This also applies to Malang City residents who can pick it up at the Malang Post Office, Jalan Merdeka Selatan Number 5, Kauman, Klojen District, Malang City.

Head of Malang Post Office Juniarto Agung confirmed that he had met with the Mayor of Malang to coordinate the distribution of BST stages five and six. The distribution is different from the previous stages because Malang City is currently implementing Emergency PPKM.

"We will hand over the fifth and sixth phases of BST next week. So that its implementation can be in line with the Emergency PPKM, we are coordinating with regional heads," explained Juniarto.

Juniarto added that the nominal amount of BST assistance is the same as before, which is IDR 300 thousand and is given for two months directly. So, residents who receive BST will receive IDR 600 thousand which is given for the period of May and June.

"We hope that this assistance can be delivered properly, without disrupting the Emergency PPKM and that the health protocols can still be adhered to by the aid recipients," said Juniarto.

The coordination meeting, he said, was very important to prevent crowds from gathering. Because previous experience when the distribution was scheduled for 10.00:07.00 WIB, residents had arrived since XNUMX:XNUMX WIB. Therefore, through this coordination meeting, residents can be on time and not come early so that there is no crowd gathering.

"We continue to coordinate the technicalities with the mayor and team. We hope that the disbursement of BST can run smoothly and the Emergency PPKM will continue to be adhered to," concluded Juniarto. (cah/ram)
