Malang (malangkota.go.id) – Together with the Malang City District Attorney's Office and the Malang District Court, the Malang City Satpol PP held a trial for minor crimes or tipiring for 22 violators of the Level 4 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) regulations. This virtual trial was held at the Mini Block Office, Malang City Hall, Wednesday (18/8/2021).
Residents who attended the minor court hearing were those who were classified as stubborn or after receiving several warnings but still committed violations. According to the Head of Public Order and Security (Kabid KKU) of Malang City Satpol PP Rahmat Hidayat, violators of the PPKM rules were dominated by entrepreneurs and visitors to karaoke places and cafes.
The reason is, during the implementation of PPKM, karaoke places are prohibited from opening. However, there are still those who operate secretly to deceive officers. So that not only business owners, visitors must also undergo a minor trial. Meanwhile, cafe entrepreneurs on average violate operating hours or exceed 20.00 WIB and accept buyers.
Initially, Rahmat explained, officers conducting the justice operation consisting of Satpol PP, TNI-Polri and BPBD personnel gave verbal and written warnings. However, they continued to violate, so they were prosecuted by officers and had to attend this minor trial.
"Some violators also came from residents who held wedding parties in the village and did not implement health protocols," he explained.
In this minor trial, the judge appealed to the violators to comply with the PPKM rules and imposed varying fines, ranging from IDR 100.000,00 to IDR 500.000,00. The amount of the fine refers to the level of violation and the scope of the business.
Meanwhile, to suppress the next violators of the PPKM rules, Rahmat said, his party as an institution enforcing regional regulations (perda) will continue to intensify socialization and justice operations. A number of related elements such as the TNI-Polri, religious leaders, community leaders and the media will be involved massively. (say/ram)
