Malang (malangkota.go.id) – Malang City started vaccination for people with disabilities, Wednesday (18/8/2021) and was placed in the yard of the local Social Service Office, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (Dinsos P3AP2KB). Of the 2.927 people with disabilities to date, 1.696 are ready to undergo vaccination and will receive the Sinopham vaccine in stages.

That was conveyed by the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji after reviewing the launch of vaccination for people with disabilities. On the first day, he said, 96 people were vaccinated and the remaining 1.600 people will be vaccinated in stages. Meanwhile, 1.231 people are still undergoing examination and monitoring by specialist doctors to ensure they are safe to receive this vaccine.
The bespectacled man explained that the launch of vaccination for people with disabilities had actually been held some time ago at the Islamic University of Malang (Unisma). However, this time it was more focused on being held by the Malang City Health Office and the P3AP2KB Social Service.
"For those who are not ready, it is feared that they have congenital diseases or comorbidities, such as diabetes, kidney, nerve, heart or diabetes," added Mayor Sutiaji.
Therefore, he said, intensive supervision by doctors must be carried out so that nothing unwanted happens. At this moment, the number one person in the Malang City Government ordered the Head of the Health Service and the Head of the P3AP2KB Social Service to be more proactive in providing this vaccine.
Such as coming to the Disabled Children's Education Foundation (YPAC) and the Bhakti Luhur Foundation so that the distribution of vaccines will be evenly distributed in the near future. This outreach method is claimed to speed up the vaccination process because Mayor Sutiaji also prioritizes people with disabilities.
The start of this vaccination, he explained, is also proof or a form of concern and commitment from the government to all levels of society without discrimination or without favoritism. "Thus, this step will continue to suppress Covid-19 cases and at the same time as an effort to continue to form greater communal immunity," concluded Sutiaji. (say/ram)
