Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko planted a pule tree in the area of the Malang City Slaughterhouse (RPH)

Bung Edi, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko's nickname, said that since 2019, his party has been actively inviting the people of Malang City to plant pule trees. The goal is to make Malang City more beautiful and have abundant oxygen from the planted trees. "The many trees not only make Malang City greener, more than that, there will be more oxygen for the community," explained Bung Edi.

Including in the RPH area of Malang City which is directly adjacent to the highway, planting trees is very important. Not only as shade, but as a counterbalance to the pollution of motor vehicle exhaust. If a lot of oxygen is obtained from plants, it is expected to be able to make the people of Malang City healthy.

"While the rainy season is approaching, tree planting must be intensified so that when the rain comes, the plants can grow healthily," said Bung Edi.

On this occasion, Mr. Edi also saw firsthand how the pule trees planted in the RW 1 area of Ciptomulyo Village some time ago. The discipline of Ciptomulyo residents in caring for the pule plants planted in December 2020 has been clearly visible. Along the road in the RW 1 area of Ciptomulyo Village, the pule trees have grown lush and green. (cah/ram)
