Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji launched vaccination for students at the Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health Malang, Jalan Simpang Balapan, Malang City, Tuesday (31/8/2021). Vaccination for students was held to prepare for face-to-face schooling which is planned to start in October 2021.
Mayor Sutiaji said that every day for one month, 1.500 doses of vaccine will be given to elementary and junior high school students in Malang City. Meanwhile, there are 40.000 junior high school students in Malang City and 5.000 elementary school students in Malang City. "Vaccines for 45.000 students at the elementary and junior high school levels in Malang City are available. Now all that remains is to implement it until September 2021, all elementary and junior high school students in Malang City have been vaccinated," explained Sutiaji.
If all elementary and junior high school students in Malang City have been vaccinated, Malang City will immediately open the face-to-face learning process. Of course, we must continue to monitor the latest developments before the face-to-face learning process is carried out directly. "Even though they have been vaccinated, we still remind teachers and school children in Malang City to continue to obey health protocols," said Sutiaji.
Compliance with health protocols must continue to be carried out even though students and residents of Malang City have been vaccinated. Because even though they have been vaccinated, they can still get Covid-19. For that, the thing that must still be prioritized after the vaccine is that everyone must remain disciplined in implementing health protocols.
The current condition of Malang City is already at level 3, it should not make the people of Malang City careless. Based on experience, after being in the green zone for some time, Malang City returned to level 4.
The launch of vaccination for students at Poltekes Malang City was attended by 600 junior high school students in Malang City. Furthermore, it will be carried out at Poltekes Malang City or in schools. Meanwhile, for vaccination of high school students, Mayor Sutiaji said that they are currently still coordinating with the East Java Provincial Education Office. (cah/ram)
