Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government held a coordination meeting to prevent criminal acts of corruption at the Ngalam Command Center (NCC) Malang City Hall, Monday (6/8/2021). In this event, the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji led directly for the ranks of the state civil apparatus (ASN).
Mayor Sutiaji said the many arrests of corrupt individuals by the KPK in various regions are certainly very concerning. The incident should not happen again in Malang City or in other regions in Indonesia.
"It is enough that 16 regions are affected by the KPK operation, do not let this happen in Malang City. For that, I remind you on this occasion not to let corruption be carried out in the Malang City Government environment," explained Sutiaji.
Sutiaji added that the occurrence of corruption practices cannot be separated from human greed that is never satisfied with what is already owned. For that reason, Mayor Sutiaji invited all ASN in the Malang City Government to be grateful for what is owned.
With all the limitations that exist, Mayor Sutiaji said that it may not always be possible to supervise ASN in Malang City. With this activity, it is hoped that what is mandated to be carried out can be carried out. There must be one direction, one perception to carry out the mandate properly. "The vision of Malang City is a dignified Malang. To be able to build Malang City according to God's mandate to create the best human creation," said Sutiaji.
Mayor Sutiaji also said that he was very impressed with the education given by his parents to be honest in childhood. Where at that time as a farmer's child he came home in the afternoon from grazing in the rice field carrying a ramb of turi leaves, instead of being praised but instead being scolded.
After the Maghrib prayer, his parents called him to take a bunch of the results of grazing turi leaves. Immediately he was asked where the turi leaves came from? Because his family did not have a turi tree. Finally, the bunch of turi leaves was untied and then whipped to Mayor Sutiaji until he was finished. Mayor Sutiaji's parents also reminded him of the use of being educated in a Koran school if he still poisoned the family by stealing.
"After that, he was told to take a bath, then his parents took him to apologize to the owner of the turi tree. That's our parents, when they do inappropriate actions, they always teach us how to behave well and honestly," explained Sutiaji.
Meanwhile, Acting Head of Malang City Inspectorate M Subkhan said that this coordination activity is an effort to socialize supervision by Malang City APIP.
