Holding Coordination Meeting in Malang City, KPK Emphasizes Staying Away from Corrupt Behavior

Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Regional Task Force Team III of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK RI) held a Coordination Meeting (Rakor) for Monitoring and Evaluation of the Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP) and Thematic in the courtroom of Malang City Hall, Monday (20/9/2021). This Rakor was led by the Director of Supervision Coordination III of the KPK RI, Brigadier General Pol. Bahtiar Ujang Purnama.

Bahtiar Ujang Purnama said that the monitoring and evaluation coordination meeting discussed the development of the implementation of Malang City Government governance through the Monitoring Center for Prevention program. "There are eight areas that we will look at, including how ASN, assets, procurement of goods and services, budgeting and planning are managed," explained Bahtiar.

Bahtiar said that until September 2021, as reported by the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji, the value of Malang City that has been achieved is 91. He hopes that in 2021 the achievement of this MCP value must be above 90. Hopefully, by the end of the year it can still be above 90. This is part of the implementation of good and clean government governance.

The KPK also emphasized to the Malang City Government to continue to work better and stay away from potential corrupt behavior towards regional finances and job authority. From the KPK RI's records, Bahtiar revealed that the potential for corruption in the government environment, almost in all regions that are very potential for corruption, the first is about the governance of procurement of goods and services.

"The second is about how ASN management. The third, which is currently rarely seen, is about planning and budgeting. The fourth is about optimizing regional income. This is what we are currently discussing with friends in the regions, especially in Malang City," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji, said that his party continues to strive and encourage discipline for the sake of a joint commitment in terms of preventing and eradicating criminal acts of corruption. Until September 2021, he revealed that the achievement of Malang City regarding the value of the assessment indicators that have been verified by the PIC KPK was 91,0 percent, while the assessment indicators filled in/answered by Malang City were 95,4 percent.

Malang City is ranked 35th out of 542 regions in the national scope and ranked third out of 39 regions in the East Java Province scope. Various efforts have also been explained by Malang City. Including in terms of increasing regional income, planning for procurement of goods and services has also been carried out various innovations to be far from the potential for corruption.

On this occasion, 80 Certificates of Land Use Rights were also handed over from the Malang City BPN office to the Malang City Government, which were symbolically received by the Mayor of Malang.

Present at this coordination meeting were the Mayor of Malang Drs. H. Sutiaji, Director of Supervision Coordination III of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia Brigadier General Pol Bahtiar Ujang Purnama, Head of the Regional Task Force III of the Corruption Eradication Commission of the Republic of Indonesia Edi Suryanto, Regional Secretary of Malang City Erik Setyo Santoso, ST, MT, and participants of the activity from regional apparatuses within the Malang City Government.
