"During the pandemic, some markets were indeed deserted because many residents were still afraid to leave their homes. However, with the implementation of strict health protocols, such as traders and buyers wearing masks, the situation will gradually change. Moreover, the pandemic has begun to decline," explained Bung Edi.

He further said, if the market is clean, the goods sold are of good quality, the prices are affordable and the traders are friendly, then the market will be a destination and will be crowded. "Currently, things like that are still not widely known by the public so they still need more intense promotion," he said.

In Kasin Market and in several other healthy markets, Bung Edi explained, it has been equipped with a number of health protocol facilities, such as hand washing facilities and warning boards related to Covid-19. In addition, bathrooms, prayer rooms, polyclinics and breastfeeding places are also adequate, so that people do not need to worry and will be more comfortable when shopping at healthy markets.

This was confirmed by one of the traders in this market, namely Iin Nurlaili Indawarni who admitted that her turnover increased by around 20 percent when the kasin market was transformed into a healthy market. According to this woman in a hijab, the current condition is much better, because the market is neat and clean so that buyers are more comfortable.
