Draft Regional Budget Regulation for 2022 Approved by DPRD

Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Original Regional Revenue (PAD) for 2022 is targeted at IDR 752 billion. This determination was conveyed in a plenary meeting entitled 'Delivery of the Final Opinion of the Mayor of Malang on the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) concerning the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for the 2022 Fiscal Year.'

This agreement was decided by the Chairperson of the Malang City DPRD I Made Riandiana Kartika on Monday (11/10/2021) after six factions in the people's representative building agreed and could accept the mayor's submission. Previously, the Malang City Government targeted PAD of IDR 1 trillion. However, after going through several intense discussions between the legislature and the executive, the figure of IDR 752 billion was finally considered rational because a number of economic sectors had not recovered. One of the triggers was because the Covid-19 pandemic could not be predicted when it would end.

Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji said that the target is still realistic and his party will optimize a number of potential revenues such as from regional taxes agreed at IDR 606 billion. In addition, regional levies of IDR 52 billion, and other legitimate income of IDR 65 billion.

"In 2022, budget efficiency will be carried out, such as for employee spending. Procurement of goods and services and others that can be postponed. However, we remain focused on handling Covid-19 and various economic recovery programs. We hope that the PPKM level in Malang City will also continue to decline," continued Mayor Sutiaji.
