That was the statement made by the bespectacled man while attending the Mayor of Malang's gathering with religious communities at the Salvation Army Church, Tuesday (26/10/2021). The man who is often called Bung Edi added that the role of religious figures and community leaders is very important in realizing regional conduciveness.

Bung Edi admitted that it cannot be denied that in Malang City there are sometimes still small ripples or friction between tribes or religions that can disturb the peace of society. Therefore, all elements of society must care and work together to prevent and overcome it so that this city remains conducive.

"Including this event, which is one of the efforts of the Malang City Government to maintain security, order and harmony between religious communities. We continue to invite figures, youth and other parties so that the city of Malang continues to be conducive," added Bung Edi.

He also expressed his gratitude to all religious communities in the city who have played an active role in handling the Covid-19 pandemic. Bung Edi said that religious communities have been directly involved in vaccinations and implementing health protocols to the maximum.

From all of that, explained the friendly man, Covid-19 cases in Malang City can be suppressed and dropped drastically. "Currently, Malang City is at level 2 of PPKM implementation, and all of that is also thanks to the participation of religious communities. Hopefully this will continue to be maintained well and the pandemic will end soon," he concluded. (say/yon)
