Klojen (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) received a working visit for a comparative study from the Banjarmasin City Government (Pemkot). This working visit was led by the Deputy Mayor of Banjarmasin H. Arifin Noor and received by the Deputy Mayor of Malang Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko at the Gazebo of the Malang City Hall, Friday (29/10/2021).
Bung Edi, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko's nickname, said that Malang City has three main things that are the ideals of the people of Malang City, namely Tri Bina Cita Malang City. "Malang City as a city of education, Malang City as an industrial city, and Malang City as a tourism city," explained Bung Edi.
According to him, to realize the ideals of Malang City as a city of education, the involvement and participation of all stakeholders is needed. After a long journey, so that a chain of ecosystems about education that support and support each other is formed.
"This is the most important thing, so the participation of all elements to create an ecosystem that upholds and makes the education sector a success," he said.
To realize this, Bung Edi gave an example, such as people in educational cities must be ready to accept students from anywhere, both domestic and foreign. After that, the situation and conditions must also be maintained so that they are safe and comfortable.
"Likewise, to build confidence for parents who want to send their children to school and set Malang City as a learning destination, they must be sure that their children in Malang are safe, not influenced by negative things, and so on. That's called an ecosystem," he explained further.
If the stigma, system, and ecosystem have been built, said Bung Edi, then the strength in Malang City is the strength of human resources (HR). "That must be optimized so that it is more productive. With ideas, concepts, creativity, and innovation, especially now in the era of technological development. So that it will increase the value in Malang City. This is one way to realize prosperity," he said.
Through visits like this, he said, we can take positive things from each other to implement in our respective regions for the progress and good of our regions.
Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor of Banjarmasin Arifin Noor expressed his gratitude to the Malang City Government for receiving a working visit in the framework of a comparative study from the Banjarmasin City Government. "We consider Malang City to be a standardization of education, besides being old, its education strategy with breakthroughs in its legal umbrella is also diverse and very good," he said.
He said, in Malang City, from kindergarten to college level, the progress has been extraordinary. So this is what he thinks needs to be emulated. "Hopefully we from Banjarmasin City can align, especially in terms of policies implemented by the government to make Banjarmasin City a prestigious city of education," he concluded. (yon/ram)
