Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji released the Malang United football team which will compete in the East Java League 3 competition. The release of Malang United players and officials was in the Malang City Hall courtroom, Tuesday (2/11/2021). The kickoff of League 3 will be held at the Joko Samudro Gresik Stadium, Wednesday (3/11/2021) with the opening match bringing together Gresik United against Persida Sidoarjo.
Malang Mayor Drs. H. Sutiaji congratulated Malang United who will compete in League 3. The point of sports is to build sportsmanship, build fair play, and build a spirit of patriotism.
"A football player cannot possibly not have idealism or belief to win when competing. Therefore, idealism or belief to win must be strengthened. That is important, whoever the enemy is, we must be sure to win," said Mayor Sutiaji.
Carrying the name of Malang, Mayor Sutiaji also hopes that Malang United when competing must maintain the good name and great name of Malang. "Playing well, being sporty, and togetherness must be maintained. Maintain the great name of Malang, Malang is extraordinary," he said again.
At the end of his instructions, the Mayor of Malang reminded the Malang United team to stay enthusiastic and continue to implement health protocols. "In addition, maintain your physical condition, most importantly when you go home later, don't forget to apologize and ask for your parents' blessings as provisions and main capital for competing," he advised the players.
Meanwhile, Director of PT Akademi Sepak Bola Malang Bersatu Rochmat Santoso expressed his gratitude to the Mayor of Malang for taking the time to meet and see off Malang United to compete in League 3.
"Malang United as a team that carries the name of Malang really wants to get prayers and support from the Mayor of Malang. Hopefully, Malang United in the future can bring football in Malang City to be better," he hoped.
The ceremonial release of Malang United by the Mayor of Malang was conveyed by Rochmat, so that it would be a blessing that could spur his team's achievements and bring Malang United to be even better, especially for football in Malang Raya. (yon/ram)
