Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Mayor of Malang, Drs. H. Sutiaji said that the crystallization of the spirit of one soul in supporting the achievements of every child of the nation, the Malang youth, must continue to be supported and strengthened. He conveyed this during a gathering with Arema Indonesia players at the Malang City Hall, Tuesday (2/11/2021).
"Our job is just to find. This is our child," said Mayor Sutiaji, revealing the background of the meeting before the evening prayer which was full of calming nuances.
According to Mayor Sutiaji, this is important and always becomes the spirit of himself and the Malang City Government (Pemkot) when looking at the dynamics of the beloved Arema community. Moreover, football is a sport that can unite the old and the young, the rich and the poor, and various other differences. Franz Beckenbauer, a German football legend once said that football is one of the best forms of communication.
Also present at the gathering were the wife of the founder of Arema Indonesia, Novi Lucky Zaenal, Secretary of Juragan99 (J99) Corp M. Sidik Wijanarko who signed the sponsorship agreement for Arema Indonesia, and Arema Indonesia players who will be leaving for Blitar to take part in the continuation of the League 3 competition.
Sidik Wijanarko revealed that the communication process between J99 Corp and Arema Indonesia had been going on for quite some time, including facilitating a meeting between the parties held at the official residence of the Mayor of Malang on October 19, 2021.
Further asked about J99 Corp's motivation to become one of Arema Indonesia's sponsors, Sidik emphasized that Gilang Widya Pramana and J99 Corp have a high commitment to the world of Indonesian sports, including Malang City. He gave examples of several roles of J99 Corp, starting from the Tokyo Olympics, PON XX Papua, Liga 3 Java, to the current agreement with Arema Indonesia.
"Mas Gilang only sees how Malang can progress, be good, and be conducive," said the man who is also the father of Gilang, the owner of J99 Corp.
The response was positive, Novi representing Arema Indonesia welcomed the intention of Mayor Sutiaji who brought Arema Indonesia together with J99 Corp. She was grateful for the certainty of professional sponsorship cooperation that had been established in supporting Arema Indonesia's progress in the 3 League 2021 competition season.
"All of this is because of the sincerity of my heart, the mayor," said Novi, which was immediately followed by Sutiaji, who said that this was from and for everyone, not just him.
Both Sutiaji, Sidik and Novi expressed similar hopes while asking for prayers from the entire community so that in the future the Malang youth can achieve success and become champions in their respective fields.
"We are together, advancing everything, Arema FC, and Arema Indonesia. All are assets of Malang City. This belongs to all Malang people," he concluded. (ndu/ram)
