Malang, (malangkota.go.id) – The Malang City Government (Pemkot) held a second dose of Covid-19 vaccination for residents of Bandungrejosari Village at the Darul Istiqomah 2 Islamic Boarding School, Sunday (7/11/2021). This vaccination was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Malang, Ir. H. Sofyan Edi Jarwoko.

Bung Edi, Sofyan Edi Jarwoko's nickname, said that currently 97 percent of Malang City residents have received the first dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, 80 percent of residents have received the second dose of vaccination. "Including today in Bandungrejosari Village, vaccinations are being carried out as an effort by the government to create collective immunity," explained Edi.
If most of the residents have been vaccinated, then herd immunity will be created to avoid Covid-19. "Even though everyone has been vaccinated, we hope that the community will continue to obey health protocols. One of them is to remain disciplined in wearing masks," said Bung Edi.
The success of Malang City in overcoming the spread of Covid-19, he said, is thanks to the hard work of all elements in Malang City. Including the willingness of the community to undergo Covid-19 vaccination. "We hope that with the massive Covid-19 vaccination carried out in Malang City, the spread of Covid-19 can be overcome immediately," he continued. (cah/ram)
